Devoted Health is new to New Hampshire for 2027. It first announced Medicare Advantage plans in Hillsborough, Grafton and Sullivan counties, and in October the state announced it will also offer plans in Coos and Carroll counties. If you live in any of those five counties, you’ll likely see the name this Annual Enrollment. Here’s who the company is, where it offers plans, and what to check before you consider any new plan.

Key Takeaways

  • Devoted Health is a Medicare Advantage company founded in 2017 and based in Waltham, Massachusetts. Medicare Advantage is its core business.

  • It’s new to New Hampshire for 2027, one of five states it is entering this year, along with Connecticut, Michigan, New Jersey and New York.

  • Five New Hampshire counties: Hillsborough, Grafton and Sullivan, plus Coos and Carroll, which the Governor announced on October 22.

  • Coos and Carroll timing: plans in those two counties can be chosen starting November 1.

  • A new carrier means a new network. Before you choose any plan, check your doctors, hospital, prescriptions and pharmacy by name.

  • Nothing changes automatically. A new carrier entering your county doesn’t change the plan you have now.

Who Is Devoted Health?

Devoted Health was founded in 2017 and is headquartered in Waltham, Massachusetts. It focuses on Medicare Advantage, and in some markets it also provides care through its own clinical teams. The company emphasizes hands-on member support, including phone and in-app help.

Devoted has grown quickly. It reportedly closed about $1.2 billion in financing in 2026 and had about 538,000 Medicare Advantage members as of September 2026.

New Hampshire is new territory for the company, so 2027 is its first year with a New Hampshire provider network.

Where Does Devoted Health Offer Plans in New Hampshire?

For 2027, three organizations offer Medicare Advantage plans in New Hampshire: Devoted Health, Humana and UnitedHealthcare, according to the New Hampshire Insurance Department. Devoted’s service area now covers five counties.

Devoted’s printed 2027 plan documents list only Hillsborough, Grafton and Sullivan, because they were printed before the Coos and Carroll expansion. Medicare.gov lists its plans in all five counties.

Which Hospitals Should You Check?

With any Medicare Advantage plan, the network decides which doctors and hospitals you can use at the plan’s in-network cost. Because 2027 is Devoted’s first year in New Hampshire, confirm by name that the hospitals you use are in its network (or will be contracted by Jan 1, 2027):

Also check any hospital you travel to for specialty care, such as in Boston, Portland or Lebanon.

How Should You Evaluate a New Medicare Advantage Carrier?

With any carrier that’s new to your area, focus on the things that affect your care directly:

  1. Your doctors. Confirm your primary care doctor and specialists are in the network by name, using the plan’s provider directory or by calling your doctor’s office.

  2. Your hospital. Check the hospitals above that you would actually use.

  3. Your prescriptions. Check that each drug is on the plan’s drug list and at which tier.

  4. Your pharmacy. Make sure your pharmacy is in the network.

  5. Your total costs. Look at what you would pay over a full year for the care you expect, not just the monthly premium.

Key Dates

  • October 15 to December 7: Annual Enrollment. Coverage you choose starts January 1, 2027.

  • November 1: First day to choose a plan in Coos and Carroll counties.

  • December 8, 2026, to February 28, 2027: Special Enrollment Period if your current Medicare Advantage plan is ending.

If your current plan is ending, you may also have a right to buy a Medicare Supplement (Medigap) policy without health questions, from 60 days before to 63 days after your coverage ends. Don’t cancel anything until you know when your new coverage starts.

What If You’d Rather Have Original Medicare?

Medicare Advantage isn’t your only option. Original Medicare with a Part D drug plan and a Medigap policy lets you see any provider in the country that accepts Medicare, with no network. For a side-by-side look at how the two work, see our county guides for Coos County and Carroll County.
